Quick & Easy Stencilling

Hello and welcome!! Today I am sharing a card that was created by ink blending Distress Inks on an A2 card panel that had been letterpressed with the Spellbinders Cosmos Backdrop Press Plate and the coordinating layering stencils. Using an A2 sized press plate for the image made creating this card quick and easy, especially using the stencils.

I really enjoyed creating this card and used Distress Inks that I do not normally use for the ink blending. Changing the colours would give you different effects, and using different mediums would have changed the finished look as well. I find that these types of plates are very versatile and using the stencils makes it really easy to mass produce the same card style, but with different coloured inks. The sentiment is from the Spellbinders Floral View Press Plate & Die Set. I felt that the die cut sentiment was too stark, or white and ink blended the Milled Lavender Distress Ink around the edges and thought that this suited the card better that leaving it white.
