Create Multiple Cards from One 6×6″ Card Panel + Bonus Bookmark

Hello and welcome!! Today I am sharing a card that I created with products from Altenew’s June release called Botanical Honeycomb. This set includes a 3D Embossing Folder and a coordinating Coloring Stencil Set. Using a 6 x 6″ card panel in Hammermill Premium Color Copy Cover 100lbs, I was able to create two cards but I could have used the leftover card piece from the portrait card to make a third card. I also use the stencils to create a bookmark.

Using 3D Embossing Folders makes creating dimension and texture on your card panel super easy, but when there are also coordinating stencils available, the colouring of your embossed panel becomes even easier.

Due to the design of the Altenew Botanical Honeycomb 3D Embossing Folder, I was able to cut the 6 x 6″ card panel into different sections to create similar, but different cards. I used “thanks” sentiment from the Billowing Peonies Stamp Set which is a very large stamp set (8.5 x 11″) and there are also coordinating stencil and die sets available. You could use the off-cut from the above card to make a third card out of the 6 x 6″ card panel.

For this card, I just used a straight strip that I cut from the 6 x 6″ embossed and stencilled card panel. Very simple, but effective. I used the same sentiment that I used for the first card.

I decided to use an off-cut from when I trimmed an sheet of 8.5 x 11″ Hammermill cardstock sheet to create the 6 x 6″ card panel. This piece measures 2.5″ wide and 6″ long and I decided to create a bookmark for my daughter. I did not emboss this panel, instead I just ink blended using the stencils in the same colours ink pads as I did for the two cards.
