Tips for Ink Blending on Kraft Cardstock

Hello and welcome!! Today I am sharing a card that I created using new products from Altenew’s June release which includes the Altenew Sun-Kissed Blooms 3D Embossing Folder and Stencil Bundle. For tips on how to ink blend on kraft cardstock, make sure to watch my YouTube video which will show you the steps involved in making this card as well as some handy tips along the way.

Using the Altenew Sun-Kissed Blooms 3D Embossing Folder creates a lot of dimension on the kraft card panel and makes it much easier to line up the coordinating Sun-Kissed Blooms Simple Coloring Stencil Set. To ink blend on kraft cardstock you will need to apply white or ivory pigment on all of the stencils in the set. This creates a barrier and lets the coloured dye in stand out, rather than the dye ink soaking into the kraft cardstock.

I really loved the vibrant colours on this card and even though I wasn’t sure of the green ink colours I used at the time, I think that they add to the tropical vibe of the card.
