Creating Dimension with die cuts/fussy cut outs on a Card

Hello and welcome!! Today I am sharing a card that I made with Altenew Dynamic Duo Floral Whimsy. As I didn’t have the Add-on Die, I had to fussy cut all the images, and I must say that I do not usually fussy cut anything as I do not like it and causes pain in my hand from using the scissors. I am sure a lot of you can relate to this. I have since purchased the Add-on Die as I love the style of the flowers in this set.

To create the background, I used the Altenew Tufted Elegance Geometric 3D Embossing Folder and Lawn Fawn Yeti Pigment Ink Pad on the smooth side of the embossing folder. This created the two tones of blue of the background panel.

The flowers were ink blended using the Altenew Ocean Dream Fresh Dye Inks and the stencils from the Altenew Dynamic Duo Floral Whimsy. You could leave the flowers plain, but the included stamp set adds detail to the flowers. For the sentiment I used Paper Rose Thank You Layered Metal Die and cut this out of gold foil cardstock and layered this onto white cardstock to add dimension. The flowers and leaves where added to embossed card panel using 1 or 2mm thick foam squares or glued directly to the card panel with Gina K Designs Connect Glue.

I really enjoyed making this card and was really pleased with the finished card. I hope that you like it as much as I do.
