Spellbinders Glimmering Peonies – Part 3

Hello and welcome!! Today I am sharing three cards using the same techniques but on different coloured cardstock to give different effects on the finished cards. To make the cards I am using the Spellbinders Glimmering Peonies Glimmer Plate and coordinating stencils, and Distress Ink Pads Worn Lipstick, Twisted Citron and Wild Honey to add colour to the foiled peonies.

For this card I used Gold Glimmer Foil and the Australian version of the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System with the Spellbinders Glimmering Peonies Glimmer Plate. The peonies were ink blended using Distress Inks and the coordinating Spellbinders Glimmering Stencils.

For the sentiment, I used the Spellbinders Curved Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Plate & Die Set on White Distress Heavystock with Gold Glimmer Foil.

This card used the same supplies, but was created on Black Distress Heavystock. A layer of Lawn Fawn Yeti Pigment Ink was applied with a foam blending brush to apply ink to the black cardstock. Once this was dry the Worn Lipstick, Twisted Citron and Wild Honey Distress Inks were ink blended using the coordinating Spellbinders Glimmering Peonies Stencils.

The Spellbinders Curved Everyday Sentiments and Gold Glimmer Foil were used for the sentiment.

This card was created the same way that the Black Distress Heavystock card was made, except that the cardstock used is Kraft Distress Heaveystock.

I had a lot of fun making these cards. I had never ink blending on kraft or black cardstock before and I was very happy with how the card looked on kraft cardstock. If you haven’t tried this before and you have white or ivory pigment ink, give it a go. It’s easy, but make sure that you let the pigment ink dry before ink blending other colours over the top.
